What FarmFest 2026 Is Raising Funds For – and Why It Matters

FarmFest has always been about more than music, food, and a great afternoon out together. At its heart, it’s about people, opportunity, and building something lasting for our whole community.

This year, FarmFest 2026 is raising funds for a commercial milk pasteuriser for our dairy – a vital next step as our farm, our training programmes, and the people we support continue to grow.

Putting People at the Centre of Everything We Do

Every day at Gullivers Enterprises & Sturts Community Trust, adults with varying support needs are learning real, practical skills through hands-on work on the farm. From caring for animals and following routines, to food safety, hygiene, and responsibility, the dairy is a place of learning, confidence-building, and pride.

Milk production isn’t just about producing food. It’s about:

  • Structured training and education

  • Developing independence and workplace skills

  • Being part of something purposeful and valued

  • Seeing the results of your work used by the wider community

When someone you support sees milk they helped produce being poured in a local café or sold in the farm shop, that sense of achievement is powerful.

Award-Winning Milk, Made Locally

We’re incredibly proud that our dairy has already achieved a 2-Star Great Taste Award – a real recognition of quality, care, and consistency. That award belongs just as much to the people we support as it does to the team around them.

As demand for our milk continues to grow, we want to make sure we’re doing things properly, safely, and sustainably – while creating more meaningful training opportunities along the way.

Preparing for the Future: Growing the Herd, Growing Opportunity

Our dairy herd has recently increased, with new cows due to start producing milk in December 2026. This is an exciting step forward, but it also means we need the right equipment in place to keep everyone safe, meet food standards, and scale responsibly.

A new pasteuriser will allow us to:

  • Safely process larger volumes of milk

  • Expand training and education within the dairy

  • Support more people through meaningful work

  • Continue supplying our local community with high-quality, local milk

Building on What We’ve Already Achieved

FarmFest fundraising has a real track record of impact. In 2025, thanks to the incredible support of our community – and with additional help from West Moors Town Council – we raised funds for a new hen house.

That hen house has been transformative. It’s helped us meet growing demand for eggs, improved animal welfare, and created more structured roles for the people we support, with eggs now sold through Gullivers Farm Shop & Kitchen and enjoyed by the wider community.

This year’s fundraising builds directly on that success.

A Community Effort, With Lasting Impact

When you buy a FarmFest ticket, you’re not just coming along for a brilliant afternoon. You’re helping to fund:

  • Education and accredited training

  • Real work experience

  • Award-winning local food

  • A more inclusive, connected community

Every contribution helps us prepare for the next chapter of our dairy journey – one that creates opportunity, pride, and purpose for the people we support.

Thank you for being part of it. 🧡
