Our
story

Gullivers is an organic farm shop, family-friendly café and biodynamic working farm based in Dorset. We are a social enterprise and a charity – part of Sturts Community Trust – providing support and opportunities to adults with varying support needs.

We believe in

Empowering people

Our Companions – adults with varying support needs – are at the heart of everything we do. Every person has their own area of expertise, and it’s our responsibility to provide a supportive environment to help them to shine.

Sustainable farming

Gullivers is a biodynamic and organic farm based in Dorset. Our vegetables are organically grown without using chemicals and our meat is produced using the highest possible animal welfare standards. It’s all available to buy in our Farm Shop, next door to Gullivers Kitchen.

Our Farm

SUSTAINABLE FARMING

Gullivers Farm is set in 90 acres of stunning Dorset countryside. The soil here is worked and cared for sustainably using biodynamic and organic principles, using absolutely no chemicals in the process. We also have cows, sheep, pigs, hens and goats on the farm, taken care of by our talented team. Everyone here is committed to following the highest animal welfare standards.

Biodynamic

It’s better for the environment because it creates a diverse, self-sufficient ecosystem.

Locally sourced

Our vegetables, meat, eggs and milk are all produced here, free from chemicals, by our dedicated team.

Welfare first

No compromises. We care about people, animals and this wonderful planet we live on.

GULLIVERS SEAL OF APPROVAL

At Gullivers we are committed to farming in the most sustainable way possible. For us, this means following biodynamic principles and rearing our animals by the highest possible animal welfare standards. The Gullivers Seal of Approval, designed by one of our own Companions, symbolises our dedication to these values and responsibilities.

Volunteer opportunities

Each year we welcome national and international volunteers to work with and support the adults with learning difficulties living on our farm. Would you like to get involved?
