Woodland nursery
Little Elves + Fairies Woodland Nursery and Forest School is a nurturing and authentic setting for babies from 6 months to children aged 6. Our Woodland Nursery welcomes under 3s, while our Forest School, opened in September 2024, supports children aged 3–6 through outdoor, child-led learning.
The beginnings of
Education
Based at Sturts Farm, Little Elves + Fairies provides space for connection, curiosity and play in nature. Following the flow of the seasons, each session at the nursery is designed to nurture the creativity and imagination of every child.

Children spend their days outdoors, immersed in the rhythms of the seasons and guided by nature’s pace. This builds resilience, imagination, and calm.
Magical Woodland Spaces
Our outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed with natural materials, hidden nooks, and room to roam – ideal for both quiet reflection and imaginative play.
Animal Companions
From hens to goats, our nursery is part of a working farm where little ones can help care for animals – developing empathy and confidence through hands-on experiences.

At our Forest School, children aged 3–6 step into an environment where learning happens naturally through play, exploration, and adventure. The Forest School approach empowers children to take measured risks, discover their own abilities, and build a lasting connection with the natural world – skills and memories they’ll carry for life.
Here, the woodland is both classroom and playground:
Child-led learning
Activities follow children’s interests, from building dens and bug hunting to storytelling under the trees.
seasonal activities
Foraging for berries in summer, collecting leaves in autumn, and exploring frost and snow in winter.
practical skills
Little ones learn to use real tools safely, light small campfires for cooking, and develop early problem-solving abilities.
social & Emotional growth
Working together in small groups helps children build confidence, communication, and a deep sense of community.

We’re now welcoming new families to join the magic of Little Elves + Fairies – a place where childhood is cherished, and every day is an adventure in nature. If you’re looking for a setting where your child can play freely, grow confidently, and feel truly nurtured, we’d love to invite you for a visit.
Our sessions run Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm – full days filled with wonder, connection, and calm in the heart of the woods.
