Pancake Bonanza Raises £439.61 Towards Our New Milk Pasteuriser

A Wonderful Start to Our 2026 Fundraising Journey

We're delighted to share that our Pancake Bonanza, held on 14th and 15th February 2026, raised £439.61 towards our 2026 fundraising goal of purchasing a milk pasteuriser for the Gullivers dairy.

The weekend brought together families, supporters, volunteers, staff and the people we support for two days full of pancakes, crafts, games, music and community spirit. Most importantly, it demonstrated what can happen when a community comes together behind a shared purpose.

Why a Milk Pasteuriser?

This year, all funds raised through our community events will go towards the purchase of a milk pasteuriser for the Gullivers milking team.

While a pasteuriser is an important piece of equipment, this project is really about people. It will create opportunities for the people we support to develop practical vocational skills across the entire dairy journey, from caring for our cows and milking, through to processing, bottling and producing high-quality dairy products.

The equipment will help us expand meaningful learning opportunities, build confidence, develop employability skills and create more real-life enterprise experiences within our working farm environment.

Learning Through Real Enterprise

At Gullivers, we believe that some of the most powerful learning happens through doing.

Our dairy enterprise already provides opportunities to learn about animal care, responsibility, teamwork and food production. A pasteuriser would allow us to take this a step further, enabling the people we support to become involved in the next stage of the process and gain experience in food preparation, quality control, product development and customer-facing enterprise activities.

By investing in this equipment, we are investing in people's potential.
