Pancake Bonanza at Gullivers – A Day of Community, Food and Support

It’s hard to believe that almost a month has passed since our Pancake Bonanza at Gullivers Farm. The day was filled with laughter, great food, music, and the kind of community atmosphere that reminds us how special this place is.

From the moment the pans were heating up, the farm was buzzing. Families gathered around the pancake station, children explored the space, and people took the time to sit, talk and enjoy being together on the farm. The smell of fresh pancakes drifting across the yard certainly helped draw people in too.

What made the day particularly meaningful for us was the incredible support shown for our charity and the work happening across the farm. Many visitors asked about the projects we are developing and how the farm supports adults with varying support needs through meaningful work and learning opportunities.

The Pancake Bonanza also helped us continue raising awareness and support for an important project on the farm — funding a new pasteuriser for our dairy operation.

Supporting Our Dairy Project

Our small milking team works hard every day caring for our Shorthorn cows and producing biodynamic milk that is sold through the farm shop. The dairy is not just about producing milk; it provides a valuable opportunity for adults with varying support needs to be involved in real, purposeful work — from caring for the animals to helping prepare and deliver milk.

Upgrading our pasteuriser will allow us to continue developing this work safely and sustainably while supporting the growing demand for our milk.

Events like Pancake Bonanza play a really important role in helping us move these projects forward. By simply coming along, enjoying some pancakes and spending time on the farm, people are directly supporting the work of the charity and the opportunities we are creating for those involved in the social enterprise.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came along, brought friends and family, and helped make the day such a success.

Below are some photos from the day capturing the atmosphere, the food, and the many moments that made it special.

And if you’d like to see what’s coming up next at Gullivers, keep an eye on our events and updates — there is plenty more planned on the farm in the months ahead.
