Welcome to

Little elves & Fairies

woodland Nursery

Little Elves + Fairies Woodland Nursery and Forest School is a nurturing and authentic setting for babies from 6 months to children aged 6. Our Woodland Nursery welcomes under 3s, while our Forest School, opened in September 2024, supports children aged 3–6 through outdoor, child-led learning.

Little Elves + Fairies is a nurturing, home-from-home setting where children learn through play, adventure, and care for the natural world. Our unique woodland nursery and forest school offer children a magical start to life – building confidence, curiosity, and kindness in an environment that celebrates each individual child.

Seedlings

class

Seedlings is our weekly baby and toddler group – a gentle, nature-based session designed especially for children under 3 and their caregivers. Rooted in connection and curiosity, each class offers a calm and playful introduction to the woodland environment.

The Seedlings group is all about creating a sense of safety, rhythm, and belonging. Children are welcomed into an unhurried, homely atmosphere where care routines are respectful, play is purposeful, and outdoor time is woven into each day.

What makes us

different?

Every day is different here – whether we’re splashing in puddles, making potions in the mud kitchen, tending to animals, or gathering around the fire to share stories. Childhood is celebrated in its truest form: wild, wonderful, and free.

Nature-Led Learning

Children spend their days outdoors, immersed in the rhythms of the seasons and guided by nature’s pace. This builds resilience, imagination, and calm.

Magical Woodland Spaces

Our outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed with natural materials, hidden nooks, and room to roam – ideal for both quiet reflection and imaginative play.

Animal Companions

From hens to goats, our nursery is part of a working farm where little ones can help care for animals – developing empathy and confidence through hands-on experiences.

Forest School Adventures

Alongside our nursery provision, we run Forest School sessions where children climb, build, explore, and discover their own strengths through supported risk-taking and group learning.
