We’re excited to announce that Survival Village will be returning to West Moors FarmFest 2026, bringing back one of the most popular hands-on activities from previous years.

Set within the woodland area of the farm, Survival Village offers families and young adventurers the chance to step into the world of traditional outdoor skills — learning, exploring and creating in a natural environment.

This year, spear making will once again be part of the experience, giving participants the opportunity to work with natural materials and learn practical woodland skills in a safe and guided setting.

A Hands-On Woodland Adventure

Survival Village is all about slowing things down and reconnecting with nature. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, children and families will be able to take part in spear making and learn some of the basic techniques used in traditional woodland craft.

It’s a chance to build something with your own hands, develop practical skills and enjoy the woodland surroundings — an experience that many families told us was one of the highlights of FarmFest.
