As the autumn colours begin to show and the days grow shorter, life here at Gullivers naturally takes on a different rhythm. To reflect this seasonal change, we’ve updated our farm shop hours: we’ll now be open from 9am to 3pm daily.

While this is a practical change to suit the season, it also opens up new opportunities for us to focus on something close to our hearts — learning, training, and development for the people we support.

Supporting People Through ASDAN Accredited Learning

At Gullivers Enterprises, we are more than just a farm shop. We are a Social Enterprise and part of Sturts Community Trust, where adults with varying support needs are at the centre of everything we do.

This season, we are embarking on an exciting new journey with ASDAN accredited training. These accredited courses provide meaningful, structured learning opportunities that build skills, confidence, and independence. For those we support, this is about more than training — it’s about opening doors, building futures, and giving recognition for their hard work and achievements.

Creating Space for Growth

By adjusting our shop hours, we create valuable time during the day to focus on teaching, mentoring, and training. Whether it’s learning how to serve customers, understanding organic produce, tending to animals, or preparing goods for the shop, each task becomes a step towards personal and professional growth.

This period of focused training ensures that the people we support are not only part of the day-to-day running of our farm shop but are also developing recognised skills they can carry forward into future opportunities.
