There are moments where everything just comes together — people, place, purpose — and our recent Farm Open Day was exactly that.

Looking around the farm, seeing families spending time together, children getting stuck into activities, conversations happening between people who may never have met otherwise… it reminded us why Gullivers exists in the first place.

A Community Coming Together

From the moment the gates opened, there was a real sense of warmth across the whole site.

You could feel it in the small interactions — someone helping a child plant seeds, a conversation over food, a smile shared between strangers. These are the things that turn a space into a community.

For us, this isn’t just an event. It’s what we’ve always hoped Gullivers would become — a place where everyone feels welcome, where people slow down, connect, and enjoy something real together.

Gullivers isn’t just a farm shop or a café — it’s a working environment where adults with varying support needs are actively involved across the farm, the kitchen, the shop, and our workshops. Days like this allow us to continue creating meaningful opportunities, building confidence, developing skills, and supporting independence.

Fundraising With Impact

We will soon be sharing the total amount raised from the day, which will go directly towards our new pasteuriser.

This is a really important step for us.

Increasing our milk processing capacity means we can:

Produce more of our own biodynamic milk
Create more structured, hands-on learning opportunities
Involve more of the people we support in meaningful, real work
Build a more sustainable model for the future of Gullivers
