Thank you for making our Classic Car Show a day to remember
Our Classic Car Show was about much more than beautiful vehicles. It brought people together, celebrated the generosity of our community and helped us raise vital funds for a new milk pasteuriser—an important investment in the future of the people we support.
From the moment the first cars arrived, there was a wonderful atmosphere around the farm. Friends and families wandered among the vehicles, owners shared their stories and memories, and people of all ages stopped to admire the craftsmanship, character and history on display.
It was a joyful day, made even more meaningful by the kindness and support shown by everyone who joined us.
A wonderful gathering of classic cars
It was a real pleasure to welcome such a fantastic collection of much-loved vehicles. From gleaming paintwork and polished chrome to rare models and familiar favourites, every car added something special to the day.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the owners who brought their vehicles along. We know how much time, care and dedication go into maintaining these classics, and we are incredibly grateful that you chose to share them with us.
The owners were at the heart of the event. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and generosity gave visitors the chance not only to admire the cars, but also to discover the personal stories behind them.
A special thank-you to Ken and Mark
We would like to give a particularly warm thank-you to local residents Ken and his son Mark. They were among the wonderful volunteers who helped bring the cars together for the show, generously sharing their time, enthusiasm and local connections.
Their support played an important part in making the event possible, and we are so grateful to have people like Ken and Mark within our community.
We would also like to thank all our volunteers and everyone who worked behind the scenes. From preparing the site and welcoming arrivals to helping visitors and keeping everything running smoothly, every contribution mattered.
Fundraising for our new milk pasteuriser
The Classic Car Show also supported our fundraising for a new milk pasteuriser.
Although it may sound like a straightforward piece of equipment, the opportunities it could create are incredibly valuable. The pasteuriser will allow us to prepare fresh milk safely while offering more meaningful, hands-on activities for the people we support.
People will be able to take part in different stages of the process, learning practical skills and taking on genuine responsibilities. These experiences can help build confidence, encourage greater independence and provide the satisfaction of completing a worthwhile job.
More than a piece of equipment
For the people we support, the pasteuriser will represent much more than machinery. It will offer a place to learn, contribute and feel part of a shared purpose.
The everyday moments matter: mastering a new task, working alongside others, being trusted with a responsibility and seeing the results of your own efforts. These achievements can bring an enormous sense of pride and help people recognise just how much they are capable of.
The pasteuriser will also help us develop what we can produce and offer in the future, creating opportunities that are practical, purposeful and rooted in our farm community. It is an investment that we hope will make a positive difference for many years to come.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps move us closer to making this possible.
A day filled with connection
One of the loveliest parts of the show was seeing people come together. There were conversations between generations, stories exchanged beside open bonnets and plenty of smiles as visitors discovered old favourites.
That warm, welcoming atmosphere is what made the day so memorable. It reminded us that events like this are not only about what is on display—they are about the connections formed and the community gathered around them.
